Team Building

We are going to take Team Building to the highest possible degree.

But to do so we must cover the most basic fundamentals.

So that is where we shall begin…

What is team building. What is it for?

Team Building corresponds closely with Synergy – The 6th Stage of Organized Living.

Team building is about the leverage gained through collaboration and influence within a tight knit group of people focused on a specific purpose or outcome.

Which brings up the 2nd question. What is Team Building for…

Simply this… to accomplish that purpose or outcome satisfactorily.

So, our focus on Team Building will start by identifying methods of clarifying the teams purpose and desired outcome.  This depends on the Business Unit Strategy.

There are 2 main methods of people management

  1. Hierarchical management
  2. Matrix management

Matrix management involves including different individuals from different teams for different projects.

Which is different to the more modern approach of project centred management of grouping resources into distinct units that own the whole of a project

Project may include 1A and 2B, therefore a matrix management.
